Hillary the Trump Slayer!

“You criticize me for preparing for this debate,” Clinton said. “And, yes, I did. Do you know what else I prepared for? I also prepared to be president.”

‘Nuff said.

Will Trump Quit the Presidential Race?

Donald Trump - Caricature

Rumors abound about the possibility of Trump quitting the Presidential race. It makes sense, considering the post-convention hike Hillary is enjoying and the polls that indicate the RNC convention has caused more people to be less likely to vote for Trump than would vote for him in the general election.

So, the likelihood that a Palinesque “I quit” speech is on the horizon, increases with each dip of Trump’s poll numbers.  Like Palin, Trump will have to weave an excuse that his quitting is a selfless act; one that his supporters could believe and one that allows him to leave with his dignity intact.

That excuse could be surprisingly easy for Trump to manufacture. He could say that he has recently been presented with a business opportunity, that would be a huge benefit for the country, and that he alone is capable to make the business deals required.  Voilà! Trump’s quitting becomes a selfless and patriotic act.

Quitting the Presidential race is really the only thing Trump can do. With three more months remaining before the general election, Trump would have to endure plummeting polls, increased media scrutiny of everything he says, more defections of high profile supporters, and increasingly negative and targeted attacks by Democratic operatives and other high profile citizens and public servants.

The most damaging thing that Trump could do, to himself and his brand, is to actually debate Hillary Clinton at a Presidential debate. He cannot rely on a stump speech at a debate where he can toss out red meat to an adoring crowd who chant “lock her up” when he says “Crooked Hillary”.  His know-nothingism will come to the forefront each time he tries to avoid giving a coherent response to any debate question. He is, as President Obama said, “woefully unprepared” and no amount of debate preparation will help Trump respond persuasively and knowledgeably about national security, foreign policy, and economic policy.

The  coup de grâce, of course, would be that Trump loses the general election and sets the historical precedent of being the first man to lose the US Presidency to a woman.

New Breed of Trump Supporters: The Trusskies

Flag-of-Russia-russia-13511410-1920-1200

There’s a new breed of Trump supporters emerging. They are the Trusskies: Supporters of Trump sympathetic to the Russians and their aggression and annexation of Crimea. The Trusski’s arguments go like this:

” People, we need to stop the negativity toward Trump, just because you don’t like his demeanor. Political decisions shouldn’t be influenced by a person’s perceived personality. You need to go deeper into what he stands for, and not how he delivers it.

He says, “people of Crimea would rather be part of Russia”. Well if that is true, why do we resist just because Russia is perceived to be our adversary.

Example: If Guam or Puerto Rico (territories of the U.S.) wanted total independence from the U.S., why would we resist. Forget the logistics, and petty arguments. Just think about it being a desire of the people.

So, if the Crimea desires to be a part of Russia, what right do we have to criticize Trump?”

— a typical Trusski posting on an internet forum.

What the Trusskies fail to realize is that Trump’s support for Russia has nothing to do with Crimea. He would abandon all of the former Soviet Union satellite countries and NATO member countries, like Latvia and Lithuania, to face Russian aggression, invasion, and re-annexation all for the love of personal enrichment and promoting his business relationship with Russian oligarchs. The weakening of NATO is just an added benefit for Russia.

It’s no secret that Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, has had multimillion dollar business dealings with pro-Russian factions in Ukraine and that a Trump advisor, Michael Caputo, who lived in Russia in the 1990’s, worked to improve Russia’s image in the US by working with a Russian conglomerate Gazprom Media for that purpose. The Washington Post paints a disturbing picture of Trump and his penchant for Russian flattery.

Then there is the admission from Donald Jr. that “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets,” Trump’s son, Donald Jr., told a real estate conference in 2008, according to an account posted on the website of eTurboNews, a trade publication. “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

Trump’s support of Russia, including his “sarcastic” call for Russia to seek out Hillary’s missing emails, the GOP’s inclusion of support for Russia’s annexation of Crimea in its platform, and the support of the emerging Trusskies (the low information and marginally educated white male voters that Trump loves) should be troubling to every American.

What kind of “deals” has Trump made with Russian oligarchs that encourages infiltration of the servers of his political opponents by the Russian state and published by the Russian stool, WikiLeak’s Julian Assange?

Trump’s collusion with the Russian oligarchy is beginning to emerge. Trump is dangerous for America and our allies, not for his cunning but as a puppet whose strings are pulled by Russia for mutual and personal financial benefit of his international conglomerate, The Trump Organization.

Vote Hillary 2016!

Rubio Bites the Dust

Little Marco Loses Florida to Trump

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust

Another One Bites the Dust – Queen

Seems Cruz was right when his campaign withdrew their staff from Florida, that Rubio could lose Florida all on his own. Boy did he. Rubio won only 27% of the vote in his own state. Floridians are probably tired of paying a Senator who never shows up to work.

But, I have to say what an uplifting speech Rubio gave when he conceded his loss. He lost and yet he still has hope for the country. It was so unlike his campaign speeches, where it was all gloom and doom. I guess some people just have to loose to see the light. Speaking of the light, I wish these candidates would refrain from all this “God” shit. God bless the Republican nominee, he said (seriously?) as Rubio starts his next gig to deny Trump the GOP nomination. I really liked the part where he said that God makes no mistakes. I’ll bet he’s never once entertained the thought that God’s plan was for Obama to win two presidential elections and Hillary to win the next one. I’m pretty sure he thinks that’s the work of the devil.

The Stop Trump Train Has Left the Station

Billionaires and CEO's and Republicans! Oh my!

Billionaires, CEO’s, members of congress and other familiar old guard Republican operatives like Karl Rove, attended American Enterprise Institute’s (AEI) secretive annual World Forum in Georgia. The main topic of conversation was Donald J. Trump, the presumptive nominee of the Republican party for President of the United States of America, and no one in attendance was very happy with that according to a report from The Huffington Post. Republican Motto: Party Before Country

All GOP Candidates Would Support Trump for President

Cruz and Rubio both have some ‘splaining to do.

Last night, all of the GOP presidential candidates reiterated their pledge that they would support Trump for the presidency should he win the GOP nomination. After weeks of listening to all of the GOP candidates excoriating Trump and predicting a liberal apocalypse on the country, and worse, if Trump were elected, we now know that they were just kidding and didn’t mean a single bad word they said about Trump. Or, and this is more likely, the Republican party has a new motto and it’s Party Before Country.

Trump Vows to Limit Free Speech

Promises "problems" for critical news organizations

We have just received a signal of what Donald Trump, as narcissist-in-chief, would do under his authoritarian regime, by openly admitting that he would like to take revenge on news organizations that have been critical of him. He said when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money. It takes a bit of hubris to openly challenge the first amendment of the constitution, but there it is.

Trump: “I love the poorly educated!”

Trump wins Nevada with overwhelming support of a highly coveted demographic in the Republican party and Trump absolutely “loves” them. Trump enjoys a staggering 71% favorability among Republicans who have not earned college degrees (according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll), or as Trump affectionately describes them – “the poorly educated”.
